Provincial Minister for Transport and Mass Transit, Bilal Akbar Khan, announced that 26 electric buses will be provided to Attock soon, as per the directions of Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
These buses will offer air-conditioning and Wi-Fi, providing passengers with a more comfortable and convenient travel experience at a reduced fare.
The minister shared this update during a meeting in Attock, attended by key local officials, including Deputy Commissioner Rao Atif Raza and Secretary RTA Sardar Zaheer Ahmed Khan. He emphasized the need to ensure all facilities are available for passengers at bus stands and directed strict action against transporters involved in overloading or overcharging.
Khan also visited the General Bus Stand to inspect the fares, particularly in light of Eid-ul-Adha. Passengers confirmed that fares were in line with government guidelines. He commended the efforts of the District Transport Authority for implementing fares and ensuring compliance.
