The federal cabinet has approved an increase in pensions by 7 percent in the budget for the fiscal year 2025-26.
In addition to pension relief, serving government employees have received a 6 percent raise in their monthly salaries.
The proposed increases will be formally approved during the federal cabinet meeting scheduled for today.
