Govt to Raise Rs. 389 Billion Through Tax Enforcement After Tricky IMF Talks

The federal government will collect Rs. 389 billion in the next fiscal year through tax enforcement measures, senior officials of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) informed ProPakistani.

Sources said the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has granted permission to use enforcement-based tax collection after difficult negotiations during budget talks.

Convincing the IMF was not easy, officials added. Despite this, the agreement was eventually reached to allow the use of enforcement tools.
