High Speed Diesel (HSD) and Motor Spirit (MS) Petrol may rise by Rs. 27/liter and Rs. 21/liter amid regional tensions, according to Arif Habib Limited.
Domestic fuel prices are likely to face another round of hikes as global oil prices are escalating due to the Israel-Iran conflict.
If this happens, then the new price of petrol will be Rs. 279-280 per liter while the new price of high-speed diesel will be Rs. 289-290 per liter. The new prices will take effect from July 1, 2025.
Since 13 June 2025, international prices of Gas Oil and Gasoline have surged by 9.6 percent and 4.5 percent, respectively, reaching USD 93.3/bbl and USD 83.4/bbl as of 20 June 2025.
If current trends persist, local prices in Pakistan are expected to rise significantly.
On 15 June, the federal government announced a huge increase in the prices of petroleum products for the last fortnight of the fiscal year 2024-25. The prices of both petrol and high-speed diesel were increased by Rs. 4.80 per liter and Rs. 7.95 per liter, respectively.
