The Punjab Police has announced a financial relief package to support the medical needs of its personnel and their families, allocating a total of Rs3.45 million, as confirmed by the department’s spokesperson.
Inspector General of Punjab Police has sanctioned these funds following the recommendations of the Medical Financial Assistance Committee. Retired Constable Muhammad Iqbal was granted Rs1 million for a liver transplant, while Traffic Warden Farhan Parvez received an equal amount for kidney-related treatment.
Additional allocations include Rs500,000 for Constable Ziaullah’s surgery and Rs250,000 for Head Constable Irfan Shahid, who is undergoing cancer treatment. Sub-Inspector Aurangzeb was provided Rs200,000 for cardiac care. Assistant Sub-Inspectors Ehsan, Qamaruddin, and Dildar Subhani each received Rs100,000. Retired Constables Asghar Ali and Farhat Abbas were also awarded Rs200,000 each for their medical expenses.
This initiative reflects Punjab Police’s commitment to the welfare of its personnel, both active and retired.
