Plane Grounded at Karachi Airport After Collision with Loader Truck

A cargo aircraft stationed at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport was grounded late Friday night after a ground service vehicle crashed into it, airport sources confirmed.

The aircraft, operated by an international cargo company, was parked in a designated area when a loader truck unexpectedly rammed into it. Initial findings suggest that the truck may have suffered a brake failure, leading to the accident.

No injuries were reported in the incident. However, authorities have taken the matter seriously due to the potential operational disruptions and financial consequences. As a precaution, the aircraft has been taken out of service while a detailed damage inspection is underway.

The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) has launched a formal investigation to determine the cause and assess whether safety protocols were properly followed. Officials said the outcome of the probe will help improve ground handling operations and avoid similar incidents in the future.
