Turkish Airlines to Increase Flights to Pakistan

Turkish Airlines is set to increase its flight operations to Pakistan beginning October 27, 2025, as reported by 24NewsHD TV on Tuesday.

As part of the expansion, the airline will boost the number of weekly flights to both Islamabad and Lahore.

Flights from Istanbul to Lahore will increase from 11 to 14 per week, while services to Islamabad will rise from 10 to 14 flights weekly. The airline plans to deploy Airbus A300 aircraft for these routes.

This development follows an earlier incident on July 7, 2025, when a Turkish Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport due to a technical issue. The Istanbul-bound aircraft turned back shortly after takeoff when a fault was detected.

Airport sources reported that the pilot promptly contacted air traffic control and requested permission to return. Clearance was granted immediately, and the aircraft landed safely. After the emergency landing, the plane was moved to a secure parking bay for technical inspection by engineers.
