The price of 24 karat gold increased by Rs. 2,300 per tola and was traded at Rs. 357,000 on Friday as compared to its sale at Rs. 354,700 on the last trading day, All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) reported.
It is pertinent to mention here that the price of the yellow metal rose by Rs. 3,200 per tola on Thursday. Today’s surge takes the two-day increase in price to Rs. 5,500 per tola.
The prices of 10 grams of 24 karat also increased by Rs. 1,971 to Rs. 306,069 from Rs. 304,098.
The price of gold also rose in the international market, reaching $3,345 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking an increase of $21, according to APGJSA.
The price of silver per tola climbed by Rs. 86 to settle at Rs. 3,937.
