Beijing Police Will Give Training to Islamabad Police

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi held a high-level meeting with a delegation from the Beijing Police Department, led by Deputy Director General Gao Jianzan, to explore ways of enhancing collaboration between law enforcement agencies of Pakistan and China, reported 24NewsHDTV Channel.

The discussions centered on deepening institutional cooperation between the Islamabad Police and Beijing Police, with a particular focus on modern policing strategies and technological integration.

Islamabad Officers to Receive Training in Beijing

As part of the agreement reached during the meeting, a group of Islamabad police officers will soon be sent to Beijing to undergo specialized training. This includes advanced courses in modern policing techniques as well as artificial intelligence applications, aimed at improving operational efficiency and security frameworks in Pakistan’s capital.

Minister Naqvi emphasized the significance of learning from the Beijing Police, which is known for its use of cutting-edge technology and modern crime-fighting tools. “This training will significantly enhance the professional skills and capabilities of Islamabad Police,” he stated.

Support for Anti-Riot and Counter-Crime Measures

Beijing has also pledged assistance in anti-riot training for Islamabad’s law enforcement personnel. Minister Naqvi underlined the importance of real-time information sharing between the two countries to combat terrorism, organized crime, drug trafficking, and human smuggling.

He expressed gratitude to the Chinese delegation for their willingness to strengthen bilateral police cooperation and noted that such partnerships are crucial for regional security.

Delegates Present from Both Sides

The Chinese delegation included Li Yuhang, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Public Security of China, along with senior officials from the Beijing Police Department.

On the Pakistani side, the meeting was attended by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Federal Secretary Interior, Director General FIA, and the Inspector General of Islamabad Police.

The meeting marked a significant step toward building a long-term strategic law enforcement partnership between Islamabad and Beijing, with both sides expressing commitment to continued collaboration.

  • Will the training also include anti corruption measures? That’s definitely something Islamabad police needs to work on.
