Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi has announced a one-day holiday in the district due to severe weather conditions.
In a statement shared on X, he urged residents to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary movement.
According to the DC, Rawalpindi has received 199 mm of rainfall so far, and the rain, which started last night, is still continuing. He warned that heavy rain is expected over the next two to three hours, advising citizens to remain inside to avoid any trouble.
The public has also been requested to cooperate with WASA, RWMC, and the district administration teams during the ongoing rain emergency.
