A Pakistani PUBG Mobile team, “4thrives Esports”, has successfully qualified for the Grand Finals of the PUBG Mobile World Cup (PMWC) 2025, marking a major achievement for the country’s esports scene. The tournament is being held as part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The team secured a spot among the top 16 finalists after competing in the Survival Stage, where eight teams advanced to join eight others that qualified directly from the Group Stage.
The roster features five young talents as young as 18 years old.
The PMWC 2025 Grand Finals will take place from August 1 to August 3 in Riyadh. Teams will compete across multiple matches to claim the world title and a share of the multi-million dollar prize pool. A “Smash Rule” will be enforced on Day 3, which allows a team to win early if it meets a specific Match Point target and wins a match.
This qualification is a moment of pride for Pakistan’s competitive gaming community. With rising investments and growing interest in esports across the country, the team’s performance on the global stage is likely to inspire further participation and recognition for local players. That too, on a mobile gaming platform instead of the usual console or PC.
