In a move to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion in South Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that the dualization of the 95-kilometer Vehari–Multan Road is underway at full speed.
The project, with a total investment exceeding Rs. 25 billion, is a major infrastructure upgrade aimed at transforming one of the region’s key roadways.
According to the Chief Minister, once completed, the road will handle more than 24,000 vehicles daily, providing smoother travel between Vehari and the M-4 Motorway.
Maryam Nawaz shared the update in a post on X (formerly Twitter), calling the route a “vital arterial” corridor. The dualization is expected to significantly reduce travel times, support economic activity, and improve safety along the route.

Roads are getting improved. Must pay attention to education. Teachers should come to schools and give tuition to students best of ability.
Discourage so called universities that are minting money by providing MBA, B.com, LLB. Start technical training institutes to export skilled labor to countries where ageing is problem. This will also discourage people who are going abroad by illegal method.
It was a long awaited, highly demanded project that was much neglected for a long time.
