Punjab Extends Deadline for Agricultural Internship Program

The Punjab government has announced an extension in the application deadline for its Agricultural Internship Program, giving aspiring candidates more time to apply for the initiative.

The new deadline is August 15, 2025, allowing eligible graduates to take advantage of the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the agriculture sector while earning a monthly stipend of Rs. 60,000.

Launched under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the program is now in its second phase following the successful completion of the first.

The initiative is designed to empower 2,000 agriculture graduates across Punjab by providing field-based training aimed at boosting agricultural productivity, particularly in underserved and rural areas.

Branded under the slogan “Maryam Nawaz ka Khwab – Sona Ugalta Punjab”, the program is being overseen by the Department of Agriculture, Government of Punjab.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must hold a B.Sc. (Hons) in Agriculture or Agricultural Engineering
• Be 25 years old or younger as of the deadline
• Must be a domiciled resident of Punjab

The government is encouraging eligible youth to apply before the revised deadline to support the development of a skilled agricultural workforce in the province.
