A Khyber Pakhtunkhwa rescue Mi-17 helicopter crashed in Sokai near Chengai Banda, resulting in the loss of three lives.
Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah confirmed that the helicopter was en route to Bajaur for relief operations when the incident occurred.
According to the KP Chief Minister, contact with the Mi-17 helicopter was lost due to adverse weather conditions. Rescue teams have been dispatched to the crash site, while another government helicopter is actively involved in relief efforts in Buner district.
Meanwhile, flash floods in the Jabrarai area of Salarzai Tehsil, Bajaur, caused widespread destruction, washing away roads, bridges, and several homes.
Rescue officials reported that 21 bodies have been recovered from various incidents, with seven individuals still missing. Three injured victims have been transported to the hospital after receiving immediate medical care. The search for the missing continues.
