Landslide Damages Murree Expressway

A landslide triggered by continuous rainfall has damaged a portion of the Murree Expressway, forcing authorities to close half of the highway.

According to the Deputy Commissioner of Murree, heavy rocks tumbling down from the hillside blocked part of the expressway, leading to the closure of the affected lane. However, the remaining section of the expressway is open, and traffic is flowing smoothly.

The district administration has started immediate restoration work and assured that the road will be fully reopened soon.

Authorities have urged citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and refrain from visiting hilly areas during the ongoing rainy spell due to the risk of further landslides.
