Honda is set to introduce a facelifted version of its 6th-generation City sedan in Pakistan next week. This will mark the first update to the model since its launch in 2021, and comes at a time when competition in the mid-size sedan segment continues to grow.
The 6th-generation City was initially launched in Pakistan in July 2021, replacing the older 5th-generation model. Over the past four years, the City has remained one of Honda’s key offerings in the local market, particularly valued for its fuel efficiency and urban drivability. The upcoming facelift is aimed at maintaining the model’s relevance in the face of evolving consumer expectations and rival offerings.
Expected Changes
While Honda has not released official specifications, the facelift is expected to follow the format of a typical mid-cycle update. These generally involve minor exterior revisions, interior refinements, and feature enhancements, while keeping the powertrain largely unchanged.
Exterior
- Updated front and rear bumpers
- Redesigned grille and lights
- Minor styling changes to alloy wheels or side mirrors
Interior
- Improved dashboard layout or materials
- Potential upgrades to the infotainment system
- Additional connectivity or convenience features
These updates are expected to reflect similar design cues already seen in facelifted City models launched in other markets, such as Brazil and Thailand, though the local variant may differ in final specifications.
According to multiple reports, the facelift will be officially revealed during the first week of September 2025. The updated City is expected to compete directly with other popular mid-size sedans, including the Toyota Yaris and Changan Alsvin, and is likely to retain its existing engine options and platform.
