PIA Stops Flights to Canada After Announcing Limited Time Offer

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Friday decided to temporarily suspend its flight operations from Pakistan to Canada for this month, 24NewsHD TV reported.

This step has been taken for the necessary maintenance of special Boeing 777 long-range aircraft crossing the Atlantic Ocean. These aircraft are capable of flying continuously for 17 hours without stopping.

Both long-range aircraft will undergo a three-week technical inspection and replacement of parts, which is mandatory every 10 years.

The aim of the repairs of the aircraft at this time is to fully prepare its aircraft before the expected passenger rush in the coming month.

The PIA spokesperson said the airline apologizes for the inconvenience it has caused to its passengers, but safety of passengers and the complete fitness of the aircraft are the top priorities.
