Capital Development Authority (CDA), through the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI), is set to establish a state-of-the-art, dedicated women’s park within the iconic F-9 Park.
The initiative will be developed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode through the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) model, with an aim to provide a secure and exclusive recreational space for women in the federal capital.
The proposed facility is envisioned as a premier recreational and wellness destination designed exclusively for women. Planned features include dedicated walking and jogging tracks, fitness areas, children’s play zones, cafés, wellness centers, and other amenity spaces.
The project seeks to create a secure and beautifully landscaped environment that promotes community well-being, social interaction, and women’s empowerment.
MCI has invited Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from national and international firms, developers, investors, and joint ventures with proven experience in developing and operating high-quality recreational, hospitality, or public amenity projects.
Interested parties are required to demonstrate expertise in project development, finance, and operations, particularly in the public amenity sector.
The selected concessionaire will be responsible for the complete scope of the project, including design, financing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the women’s park, for a concession period to be determined.
The authority has announced that the designated land within F-9 Park will be provided to the chosen firm for development, ensuring alignment with Islamabad’s vision for sustainable and inclusive urban spaces.
According to MCI, Firms have been asked to submit their EOIs with details of company profile, relevant experience, technical and financial capacity, and an initial conceptual plan for the project. Further information regarding the Request for Proposal (RFP) process will be shared at a later stage by the civic body.
