The Motorway Police have issued a statement regarding damage near Jalalpur Peerwala that has disrupted travel on the M-5.
According to the spokesperson, the M-5 Motorway has been closed for all types of traffic from the Multan Shershah Interchange to the Uch Sharif Interchange. Motorway Police are diverting vehicles onto alternate routes to ensure the flow of traffic.
Officials explained that traffic can leave the M-5 at the Shah Shams Interchange and continue on the National Highway. From Uch Sharif Interchange, vehicles may rejoin the M-5 for onward travel toward Sukkur or Multan.
Similarly, drivers coming from Sukkur toward Multan can exit at Uch Sharif, use the National Highway, and rejoin the motorway at Shershah Interchange.
Authorities have urged travelers to follow diversion signs and cooperate with traffic police until the motorway section is fully restored.
