The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government’s E-Basta Project has reached its final stages, aiming to transform the province’s education system through digital solutions.
According to an official handout, the initiative will replace heavy school bags with tablets containing all textbooks, lessons, lectures, and other academic content. The tablets will be restricted to educational use only, ensuring students remain focused on their studies.
The project also introduces a parental monitoring system. Parents will be able to track their children’s study patterns, including time spent on each subject, attended lectures, and progress in preparation. Built-in features will allow parents to conduct tests through the tablet and view results, strengthening their involvement in the learning process.
Teachers will benefit from the system as well. Through the platform, they will be able to assign homework and assignments online, review preparation levels, and generate instant reports of student performance. This will allow educators to identify weaknesses and provide targeted guidance to students.
Officials said the project also aims to promote digital literacy among youth, preparing them for modern technological demands. Once launched, the E-Basta Project is expected to improve individual performance and enhance the overall quality of education across the province.
