A sessions court in Lahore has sentenced a man to 100 years in prison for killing four members of his family under the influence of an online game.
The convict, identified as Ali Zain, was found guilty of murdering his mother, two sisters, and a brother in 2022. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 4 million. Additional Sessions Judge Riaz Ahmad announced the verdict, ruling that the severity of the crime warranted four separate life sentences, considering the convict’s age.
According to case details, the Kahna police registered the FIR in 2022 after the incident. During the trial, prosecutors presented witnesses and evidence establishing that the convict opened fire on his family around 2 a.m., reportedly influenced by the video game.
