Gold prices in Pakistan dropped on Thursday, mirroring a decline in the international market. In the local market, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs. 2,000, settling at Rs. 396,800.
According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 10-gram gold also decreased, selling at Rs. 340,192 after a loss of Rs. 1,714.
On Wednesday, the gold price per tola had remained unchanged at Rs. 398,800.
Internationally, gold prices also slipped. The global rate stood at $3,750 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking a decrease of $20, as reported by APGJSA.
In contrast, silver prices in the local market saw an uptick. The price per tola of silver rose by Rs. 26 to reach Rs. 4,663.
