Lahore is Getting New Street Lights From Dubai

Lahore’s streets are set for a major transformation as the installation of street lights under the Lahore Development Program (LDP) is set to begin next week.

A significant milestone has been reached with the arrival of two shipments, totaling 22,000 lights, marking a key development in the city’s largest infrastructure project.

The installation process will be carried out in phases across various regions of the city.

The first phase will begin in Samanabad Town, with subsequent phases planned for Ravi, Data Ganj Bakhsh, Gulberg, Nishtar, and Shalimar zones. The final phase will focus on Aziz Bhatti, Wahga, and Allama Iqbal Towns.

The street lights, which have been imported from Dubai and are manufactured by Philips, are expected to dramatically improve the city’s nighttime visibility. By November, a total of 88,000 street lights will be installed, ensuring a brighter, safer Lahore for its residents.
