Cambridge Offers Pakistani Students Free Access to Answer Scripts

For the first time, Cambridge International Examinations has introduced a system allowing O and A Level students in Pakistan to view their answer scripts online, completely free of charge.

This initiative, aimed at ensuring greater transparency, will enable students to review their marked answer sheets and then decide whether to apply for scrutiny. Unlike local education boards across Pakistan, which do not permit students to access their answer copies at the matric or intermediate levels, Cambridge is offering this facility without any cost.

The announcement was made by Uzma Yousuf, Country Manager for Cambridge International in Pakistan, during her visit to Karachi. She was accompanied by Marketing Communication Manager Arsalan Rabbani.

Yousuf explained that all Cambridge-affiliated schools have been given access to their students’ answer scripts across subjects. Students can visit their respective schools to view their copies and, if needed, apply for scrutiny. She emphasized that neither students nor schools will be charged for this process.

Highlighting Pakistan’s strong presence in Cambridge programs, Yousuf revealed that the country has the highest number of Cambridge O and A Level students in the world, with over 130,000 enrolled. The United States ranks second, followed by China, India, and Dubai.

She further noted that around 800 schools in Pakistan are affiliated with Cambridge. Regarding future partnerships, she confirmed that talks have been held with Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah about linking government schools with Cambridge. The initial step in this plan will be teacher training, for which Sindh already has a dedicated institution.
