Islamabad Police Announces Strict Action Against Bikers Committing These 9 Traffic Violations

The Islamabad Traffic Police has announced a strict enforcement campaign against motorcyclists violating traffic rules, beginning October 1.

Announcement by SSP Traffic

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Islamabad, Hamzah Humayun, said the crackdown will target a range of violations, including the use of illegal fancy number plates, unauthorized flashy lights, lane violations, one-wheeling, underage riders, helmetless driving, and bikes without mirrors.

Action Against Bike Service Providers

The campaign will also extend to bike service companies that fail to provide helmets to passengers. Additionally, triple-riding will be penalized under the new enforcement measures.

Penalties and Detentions

From October 1, motorcycles involved in these violations will be detained, while riders will face jail terms and heavy fines. SSP Humayun emphasized that the action aims to ensure road safety and protect both riders and citizens.
