Organic Meat Company Begins Operations at Karachi Export Processing Zone

The Organic Meat Company Limited (TOMCL) has officially kicked off operations at its Karachi Export Processing Zone (KEPZA) facility as of October 1, 2025.

The new plant focuses on processing ovine and bovine offals, aiming for clean value addition and re-export to promising markets like the Middle East, Europe, China, Central Asia, and East Asia. It will handle items such as frozen edible offals and dehydrated pet chews.

This expansion highlights TOMCL’s goal to become a fully integrated halal meat and by-product company. It plans to broaden its export base beyond traditional cuts and enhance Pakistan’s reputation as a reliable source of top-quality halal protein products.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company announced, “TOMCL is pleased to share that operations at its KEPZA facility will begin today, October 1, 2025, at its wholly owned subsidiary Mohammad Saeed Mohammad Hussain Limited (MSMHL).”

TOMCL recently secured a $7.5 million export order from China for cooked, heat-treated frozen boneless beef. This move strengthens its position in high-value halal meat exports. The company also became the first Pakistani-listed firm to export beef casings to Europe.

It recently qualified for direct exports to Carrefour UAE after achieving a 95% audit score, and confirmed entry into the Tajikistan market with a $3.24 million export deal. All of these developments show the company’s continued commitment to value-driven and export-led growth.

Founded in 2010, TOMCL processes and sells halal meat and related products. It is one of Pakistan’s leading exporters of red meat and meat by-products.
