A shipment of small electric cars has recently been spotted at Karachi port, sparking speculation about a potential new addition to Pakistan’s EV lineup.
CCTV footage from a local yard shows several compact electric hatchbacks lined up near an MG ZS EV, suggesting that they are part of an upcoming launch.
The model has been identified as the Wuling Binguo EV, a subcompact all-electric hatchback produced by Wuling Motors, part of the SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) joint venture.
The SGMW group is also responsible for the MG brand, which has already made its way into the Pakistani market.
The Binguo EV has seen considerable success abroad. In China, it accounts for nearly 6 percent of the battery electric vehicle market share this year, while Indonesia has also rolled it out officially.
If launched, the Binguo EV would mark another step toward expanding electric mobility in the country, joining the growing list of Chinese-made EVs arriving in Pakistan.

EV launched in Pakistan are beyond affordability of a common man. Promoters charge 40 to 50% profit which makes EVs unattractive.
