The Punjab government has launched mobile license vans to simplify the process of obtaining driving licenses and deliver the facility closer to citizens.
The initiative, introduced under the vision of the Chief Minister, aims to provide convenience at people’s doorsteps. Officials said that specially designed mobile police stations and licensing vans will now be available across every district in Punjab, allowing residents to apply for or renew their licenses without visiting offices.
DIG Traffic Muhammad Waqas Nazir explained that the vans will also be dispatched to women’s colleges and universities. At the initial stage, 33 vans have been deployed, with the number expected to expand to 118.
To ensure greater accessibility for women, seven vans have been reserved exclusively for female applicants and will be painted pink for easy identification.
Authorities believe the new system will make the licensing process quicker and more efficient, particularly for women, while also reducing the pressure on existing licensing centers.

Good. Anyone without a license shouldnt be on the road jeopardizing others lives along with themselves. Drivers on the road either dont know the rules or dont want to abide by them. Strict measures should be in place like in the Middle east, Europe. Bike riders are the worst.

Give them the credit for issuing licenses without any Govt institution for Driving training which is the core for having a competitive transport system …. similar to degree certificates without knowledge expertise … issuing license to kill others without the expertise of driving … and no doubt charging fines on every corner to mint money out of this poor nation … what a scam and shame! Nothing more than surface level makeovers to increase burden on the nation … no concrete institutionalisation of the concrete steps to shape up a progressive nation, no educational reforms and system level changes – doesnt matter which party’s Govt — aah PTI did the worst unified syllabus for all — mure peeri mareedi waley Oxford key jahil ka failed step that deteriorated the education system further… even PMLN who is always poised to undo what PTI did … have no time to change that and make concrete foundational changes in education system.

My license was expired I applied and visit office near bahria town Lahore I give them my old expired license and complete everything they issue slip renewal fee after very next day I go abroad when I came back they told me I must visit Head office or where my driving license issues I hope Punjab CM make things easy for everyone’s to get driving license right way and easy way!!!

I am senior citzen and had gone there for 2-3 times to gulberg 24/7 traffic office. First returned for med check. After 2-3 months again gone there with med form attested by a major Dr of CMH lahore. But returned that photo on form is not attest by the Doctor. Requested them that iam already having my licence and i am here for renewal. You have my photo in your system and you can campare it. But not one paid any heed to it and sent me back. Why cant we make the life easier for the people and that for 67 year old man. Another anomaly , for payment they advise senior citizens that go and deposit miney through easy paisa and them come back. Very strange they dont have any system for taking payment at the centre . Where as now every petrol pump and markets etc have credit machine. Then they also advised apply through on line. You can hear all sort of advises from them but no show of temperament to help SC’s. I do not know how i apply on line and to do Easy Paisa payment. In nut shell the staff is of no help. Rather cursing that what we can do , these are govt rules. There may be some relavence of this ,for issuence of new licence but not Renewal of licence. Sorry to say , we pretend that we have adopted E system but our mind set is still blocked by old thinking. Now i am again planning to to centre after getting new med certicate, with stamp on my photo. Let see what they say this time.
They’re just taking money and making licence without any driving test or medical test for bikers. Aim is to milk the common man not ensuring safety on road.

I visit several times visit samanabad driving licence office but all time answer me by staff the system is out of order I visit 9 time in two weeks but answer is same and staff really sleep on counter.

GO Punjab initiative is much appreciated. However, at times previous record is not accessible which makes online renewal of driving licence not possible. My neighbors faced this issue as he wanted to renew his six year old driving license.
