The federal government has released Rs. 330 billion in development funds during the first two quarters of the current fiscal year, according to official documents available with ProPakistani.
The report shows that over Rs. 24.63 billion have been issued for parliamentary development schemes.
Funds worth Rs. 68 billion were released for development projects in provinces and special areas.
The National Highway Authority (NHA) received more than Rs. 79 billion for its ongoing and new infrastructure projects. The Power Division was provided over Rs. 31.76 billion for various energy initiatives.
The Ministry of Water Resources secured Rs. 45 billion for projects aimed at improving irrigation and water storage systems. The Higher Education Commission (HEC) obtained Rs. 15.74 billion for education sector development.
Additionally, the Ministry of Planning received more than Rs. 8 billion, while the National Health Ministry was given over Rs. 5 billion to support healthcare projects. The Railways Division received Rs. 7 billion to enhance its infrastructure and operational capacity.
The disbursement of funds is part of the government’s Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the fiscal year, aimed at supporting infrastructure, energy, and social sector growth across the country.
Officials said that continued funding under the PSDP would help accelerate economic activity, create jobs, and improve service delivery in key sectors.
