Punjab’s educational boards are rolling out a new system that gives parents direct access to their children’s exam results.
Starting from the 2026 academic year, parents will be able to check results using their own CNIC numbers. This move means students can no longer hide their results from their families.
The first phase will cover ninth and tenth-grade results. Later, the policy will expand to include intermediate-level results.
The Lahore Board alone sees over a million students sit for matric and intermediate exams each year, so the change will impact a large number of families.
Officials say the new feature aims to increase transparency and keep parents more involved in their children’s education.
The decision comes after recent matric results in Punjab showed a low passing percentage, raising concerns about student performance and the need for better academic support in schools.

Like kids could do that before 😆 🤣 😂
This govt is so petty. Why not show results, real ones of our politicians ?
They should be made public. Everyone should access their elected officials results. If they didn’t get good results they should be removed from office.
Good
The syllabus needs to be the same as o level. Matric system is outdated totally.
