Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah has warned citizens about fake SMS messages being circulated under the name of Karachi’s e-challan system, calling them fraudulent.
In his statement, the DIG Traffic clarified that the Karachi Traffic Police has not yet started sending e-challans via SMS. He urged citizens to stay cautious and avoid falling victim to such scams. “People should ignore any messages claiming to be official e-challans,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Karachi Traffic Police has introduced a new mobile application, “Tracks Citizen,” to help motorists track their vehicles, e-challans, and traffic violations more conveniently following the launch of the city’s digital traffic fine system.
According to details, the app gives users full access to records of vehicles and violations linked to their CNIC. Once logged in, all registered vehicles automatically appear on the dashboard.
