The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has announced a revised curriculum for Business and Management degree programs following a detailed review conducted by the National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC).
According to an official statement, the NCRC meeting took place at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences) in Peshawar, bringing together leading academicians and subject experts from universities across the country. HEC’s Curriculum Division facilitated the review process.
The updated curricula cover BBA, BS, MBA, EMBA, MS, and Associate Degree programs, aligning them with emerging market trends, global standards, and industry demands. The HEC said the new framework aims to strengthen academic quality and practical relevance while ensuring consistency across higher education institutions.
The revision also aligns with the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and HEC’s Undergraduate and Graduate Education Policies 2023.
The session was chaired by Dr. Naukhez Sarwar, Professor and Principal of NUST Business School, as Convener, and Dr. Farooq-e-Azam Cheema, Provost of KSBL Karachi, as Co-Convener. Hidayatullah Kasi, Deputy Director at HEC, served as Secretary of the NCRC session.
