Samsung’s long-rumored tri-fold smartphone has taken another step toward an official release. The device has now appeared in the Bluetooth SIG certification database, indicating that a global launch could be on the horizon.
The certification lists several model numbers: SM-D6390, SM-D639N, SM-D639U, SM-D639U1, and SM-D639B. This range of identifiers suggests that Samsung plans to release the device in multiple regions, including North America, China, and South Korea.
Typically, the “B” suffix in Samsung model numbers refers to the global version of a device. While the exact list of launch countries remains unknown, this certification hints that Samsung’s new foldable won’t be limited to select markets.
Samsung showcased the tri-fold concept in October, but the device has not yet been officially announced. Earlier reports suggested a US launch could happen in early 2026. With less than two months left in the year and certification now secured, the timing seems increasingly likely.
As Samsung prepares for its next wave of foldable innovation, more details about the tri-fold smartphone are expected soon.
