The Capital Development Authority has directed its estate and engineering wings to begin issuing possession of plots in newly developed sectors, marking a major push to unlock stalled residential land in Islamabad.
Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa issued the instructions while reviewing progress on sector development works at CDA Headquarters.
The meeting was attended by CDA Board members, the Deputy Commissioner of Islamabad, and senior officials from planning, engineering, environment, and estate departments.
Officials briefed the chairman on ongoing infrastructure works across key residential sectors.
In Sector C-14, road surfacing, horticulture, and internal electrification are advancing, with remaining tasks such as streetlights, water supply, drainage, and beautification ordered to be completed on priority.
In Sector C-15, sub-base work on several roads has been completed, and the remaining contracts have been awarded, with road infrastructure targeted for completion by March next year.
Work in E-12 continues in sub-sectors 2 and 3, while tendering for sub-sector 4 is nearing finalization.
Meanwhile, surfacing work in I-12 is expected to be completed within the current month.
The chairman directed officers to remain physically present in the field to ensure construction quality and adherence to timelines.
Randhawa said that allottees waiting for years must now be given possession without delay, adding that CDA’s focus is to expand residential supply and support Islamabad’s growing housing needs.
He also approved the formation of two working groups: one to accelerate development in ongoing sectors and another to prepare a rehabilitation and upgradation plan for older residential areas.

waiting for almost three decades to get a fully developed plot in E-12. since ages paid its price and development charges through FGEHF in 2nd phase allotment,
What about I-15?
Waiting since early 2000s for it to be handed over.
Thanks to Mr. Randawa sb for changing the history of CDA. I have visited C-14 dated Nov 8, 2025. The sector look beautiful. I had visited the sector last week as week, however, even compared to last week the sector is completely changed. Wonderful work of CDA Management.
When are the positions for plots going to be alloted in I-12? We’ve been waiting for so many years

What about I 15 ?
Chairman CDA is striving to provide roads and Street lights in Sector C-14 & C-15 which were launched in 2024. And surprisingly sector D -12 which was launched 40 years ago even today does not have Street Lights. Shameful on part of CDA, chairman CDA should think about this ?
I have a 5 marla and 7 Marla plot in I/12 when CDA given the possesion of sector .
