Sindh Lifts Ban on Govt Jobs

The Sindh government has officially lifted the ban on hiring for positions from Grade 5 to Grade 15. A notification has been issued directing all relevant departments to initiate the recruitment process in accordance with established rules and regulations.

According to the notification, government departments can now begin filling vacant posts following the prescribed procedures.

It is worth mentioning that on October 28, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated the Sindh Job Portal (SJP) in Karachi, making Sindh the first province in Pakistan to launch a centralized online platform for government job applications.

Developed jointly by the Science and Information Technology Department and Sukkur IBA University, the portal allows candidates to register, upload their documents, and apply for vacancies across various departments transparently and efficiently.

During the launch ceremony, the Chief Minister stated that the initiative reflects the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto for equal employment opportunities and transparent recruitment. He added that the recruitment process for Grade 1 to 5 posts would begin within fifteen days, while higher-grade recruitments would follow soon after through the same digital system.

Sindh CM also highlighted that the platform includes features such as online test scheduling, instant result updates, and departmental coordination with the Finance Department to prevent delays.
