The Rawalpindi City Traffic Police have announced a detailed traffic management plan for the upcoming tri-nation cricket series at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, aimed at ensuring a smooth traffic flow and convenience for both citizens and spectators.
According to officials, more than 350 traffic officers and personnel will be deployed across key routes to manage congestion, assist commuters, and maintain order during the matches. Special traffic diversions will be implemented to accommodate team movements and spectator arrivals.
Three designated parking areas have been set up for fans — Civil Aviation Ground Shahin Chowk, Shahbaz Sharif Park near Shahin Chowk, and the Government Graduate Degree College in Satellite Town. A shuttle service will operate between these parking sites and the stadium to ensure hassle-free access for spectators.
During the arrival and departure of cricket teams, Murree Road will remain temporarily closed between Faizabad and Double Road. Traffic from Islamabad will be redirected to the Islamabad Expressway, while vehicles traveling from Rawalpindi toward Islamabad will be diverted to 6th Road and Saidpur Road.
Officials urged citizens to follow traffic instructions, use alternate routes, and cooperate with police personnel to avoid inconvenience during the international cricket event.
