Samsung S26 Lineup May Outweigh and Out-Slim Apple’s iPhone 17 Models

New information continues to surface around Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S26 lineup. Last week’s leak pointed to the base model measuring 149.5 x 71.6 x 7.24 mm. A newer report from tipster UniversIce now claims the phone will be even slimmer, coming in at 6.9 mm.

If accurate, this would make it 0.3 mm thinner than the Galaxy S25. The standard S26 is also expected to weigh 164 grams, which is 2 grams more than its predecessor.

The latest post also outlines figures for the S26 Plus and S26 Ultra, along with comparisons to the upcoming iPhone 17 series. The S26 Plus, also referred to as the S26 Pro, will reportedly measure 7.3 mm in thickness and weigh 191 grams.

These numbers are almost identical to the Galaxy S25+, which launched in January. Both the S26 and S26+/Pro are said to be 13 grams lighter and more than 1 mm thinner than their closest iPhone 17 counterparts.

The S26 Ultra is expected to continue the trend toward a slimmer profile. According to the leak, the device will measure 7.9 mm in thickness and weigh 214 grams. This makes it 0.3 mm thinner and 4 grams lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

The gap becomes more noticeable when placed next to the expected dimensions of the iPhone 17 Pro Max, where the Galaxy S26 Ultra would be 17 grams lighter and 0.85 mm thinner.
