New Chromebooks to Get Free GeForce Now Fast Pass With 2,000+ Games

Nvidia and Google have introduced a new cloud gaming option designed only for Chromebooks. The plan, called GeForce Now Fast Pass, will let Chromebook users stream more than 2,000 games from their existing PC game libraries without ads. Google also confirmed that anyone buying a new Chromebook will receive a free one-year Fast Pass membership.

What Fast Pass Offers

Fast Pass works much like GeForce Now’s free tier, which already allows users to stream titles from Steam, Epic Games, and Xbox libraries. However, Nvidia says Fast Pass removes all ads and lets players skip the usual waiting queues, which often delay free-plan users for two minutes or longer.

The plan does have limits. Fast Pass members can play up to 10 hours of cloud gaming per month, with the option to carry over up to five unused hours into the next month.

Free vs Paid Plans

Nvidia’s standard paid subscriptions, starting at $9.99 per month, offer higher performance. These plans support features such as faster frame rates, higher resolutions, RTX ray tracing, and access to additional “Install-to-Play” games that must be installed on Nvidia’s servers before users can run them. Fast Pass does not include those premium features.

Price and Availability

Google says every new Chromebook purchase now comes with one year of GeForce Now Fast Pass at no extra cost. Neither company has announced the standalone price for Fast Pass once the free year expires.
