The Punjab Food Authority said it has arrested Dr Khalid, who was allegedly operating a large setup that produced up to 50,000 liters of adulterated milk per day.
According to the authority, the accused opened fire on a PFA team during an operation, injuring officers before attempting to escape.
The PFA said Dr Khalid frequently changed locations to avoid law enforcement, but the team eventually tracked him down.
The authority described the arrest as part of a wider crackdown on adulteration led by the chief minister, stating that the campaign now extends “from offices to streets.”
The PFA reiterated that there is “no space for adulteration anymore” and said inspections and enforcement actions will continue.
