The Ministry of Education has announced that students across the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will start their winter vacation on December 8, 2025, with the break continuing until January 4, 2026. Teaching and administrative staff will begin their holiday a week later, starting December 15.
According to the approved 2025-2026 academic calendar, make-up examinations are scheduled from December 8 to 12, overlapping with the student holiday, while teachers will attend the third round of professional training during the same period.
The second semester of the academic year will begin on January 5, 2026, with first-semester results being reviewed and published between January 7 and 9.
The academic year will comprise three semesters:
- First semester: 67 instructional days over 14 weeks
- Second semester: 47 instructional days over 9 weeks
- Third semester: 64 instructional days over 13 weeks, including five official UAE holidays
In total, the 2025–2026 school year will feature approximately 178 instructional days, concluding no earlier than June 26, 2026.
This schedule ensures students and staff have ample time for exams, training, and holidays, while maintaining a full academic year.
