Gold prices in Pakistan extended their rally on Wednesday, mirroring gains in the international market and reflecting strong investor demand.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed by Rs. 2,300 to settle at Rs. 438,862.
The price for 10 grams of gold also rose, reaching Rs. 376,253 after an increase of Rs. 1,972, according to figures released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
A day earlier, gold prices had surged by Rs. 7,700 per tola, closing at Rs. 436,562 on Tuesday.
On the global front, the price of gold increased by $23, reaching $4,165 per ounce (including a $20 premium).
Silver prices also saw an uptick, with the rate per tola rising by Rs. 60 to Rs. 5,482.
