Sylhet Titans have brought in Pakistani all-rounder Saim Ayub for the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), securing his services for the entire season.
The franchise, making its league debut, signed Saim Ayub ahead of the players’ draft, strengthening its overseas lineup.
Before Saim Ayub, the Titans had already locked in prominent Bangladeshi players Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Nasum Ahmed through direct deals. His addition gives the new team an international boost as they prepare for their first campaign.
The Titans are also expected to unveil a fresh-look coaching staff. Imrul Kayes is lined up to take on batting coach duties for the first time in BPL history, while talks are ongoing with Syed Rasel to potentially fill the role of bowling coach. Official announcements regarding the coaching team are still pending.
Sylhet’s previous BPL representation came through the Sylhet Strikers, who featured in the last three seasons. However, the group behind the Strikers opted not to continue as franchise owners for the next five-year cycle.
The new Sylhet setup is now backed by Cricket With Sami, Bangladesh’s first fully established sports management company, which has been involved with player representation for years and now steps into franchise ownership.
