Pakistani cricketer Umar Akmal has called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and the government to urgently address what he describes as alarming safety and medical shortcomings at Jumbo Jump Playland.
The large trampoline attraction located in DHA Phase 8, Lahore, is known for holding a Guinness World Record for having the world’s largest inflatable bouncy castle.
In a public statement shared on social media, Umar Akmal claimed that the facility lacks basic safety precautions and proper first-aid support for children. He also criticized the management for what he believes are excessively high prices and inappropriate behavior toward visitors.
He appealed to relevant authorities, including the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), to take immediate notice, ensuring that recreational venues operate responsibly and provide necessary protection to families.
Akmal urged officials to investigate the matter promptly and enforce strict measures so that children’s amusement activities do not turn into safety hazards.
Jumbo Jump Playland has gained popularity for marketing itself as the world’s largest trampoline park, featuring multiple jumping zones, slides, and adventure activities designed for kids and adults. Its record-setting scale attracts families from across the city, making safety standards and professional supervision even more crucial for the thousands of visitors who frequent the venue.
