The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise Department has decided to introduce fancy and special number plates, proposing amendments to the existing rules to formalize the new system.
According to official documents, special number plates will now be sold through an open auction. The department has proposed setting the fee for fancy plates at up to Rs150,000, while the base price for premium special plates will be Rs1 million.
The proposal also suggests that number plates containing three identical letters and three identical digits will cost Rs100,000.
Authorities will invite public objections and suggestions on the amended rules within 15 days.
