YouTube is introducing its own annual recap feature, following similar offerings from Spotify and other platforms. The company announced that YouTube Recap is now rolling out, starting with users in North America today and expanding to the rest of the world by the end of the week.
Once available, the recap will appear on the YouTube homepage or under the You tab. According to YouTube, the feature highlights the interests, deep dives, and moments users explored this year, based on watch history from 2025.
The recap will display up to 12 cards that show top channels, interests, and changes in viewing patterns. It will also show which “personality type” a user falls into based on the videos they watched, much like Spotify Wrapped.
Users who listened to a lot of music on YouTube this year will also receive details about their top artists and songs. The recap will include options to explore top genres, podcasts, and a snapshot of international music listening within the YouTube Music app.
