OnePlus has officially confirmed plans to launch a new smartphone lineup called Turbo, following weeks of speculation that began in October. Rumors about the series first surfaced earlier in the month, with full specifications of the initial model leaking soon after.
Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, announced the Turbo series on Weibo as part of the company’s 12th anniversary. He said the new lineup will carry over the performance focus seen in OnePlus’ flagship devices, while placing a strong emphasis on battery life and gaming performance.
Li added that OnePlus expects to close 2025 with the highest year-over-year sales growth among smartphone brands in China, reporting a 40% increase compared with 2024. Looking ahead, he said the Turbo lineup is intended to further enhance gaming performance and make that experience accessible to a wider audience.
Expected Specs
According to earlier leaks, the first smartphone in the OnePlus Turbo series will feature a 6.7-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor.
Powering the phone will be a respectable 8,000 mAh battery with support for 100W wired charging. On the camera side, the device is said to include a 50MP main rear camera paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor.
