The Sindh cabinet has approved Rs. 964.4 million for the procurement and operation of public transport buses under a non-annual development programme scheme.
The approval came during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, with provincial ministers, advisers, special assistants, Chief Secretary Asif Hyder Shah, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Agha Wasif, and senior officials in attendance.
Officials said the funding will support efforts to improve public transport services across the province through the purchase and operation of buses.
During the meeting, the chief minister instructed all departments to ensure timely utilization of funds and follow strict standards of transparency and financial discipline.
The cabinet meeting also covered several other financial and development matters related to policing, social protection, infrastructure, and governance reforms.
