Dubai government employees will work remotely on Friday, December 19, following directives issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defence, in response to prevailing weather conditions.
The directive applies to all Dubai government entities, except for positions that require physical presence. Authorities aim to ensure employee safety while maintaining uninterrupted government services during the period of unstable weather.
Government departments have been instructed to implement the decision based on operational requirements and to continue delivering essential services. The private sector has also been encouraged to adopt remote working arrangements where possible, depending on the nature of work.
The move comes as weather fluctuations continue to affect parts of the UAE, prompting authorities to issue safety advisories and precautionary guidance for residents and workers.
