The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has taken notice of inconvenience caused to consumers by scheduled shutdowns and power outages under its Annual System Maintenance Program and has directed all formations to complete the work as quickly as possible.
An IESCO spokesperson said the company is currently carrying out maintenance on 11kV feeders, 132kV grid stations, and transmission lines as part of the Annual System Maintenance Program.
The spokesperson said maintenance teams have completed work on most 11kV feeders in the Islamabad Circle and nearby areas, including Islamabad sectors, Bhara Kahu, Murree, Nathia Gali, and other tourist destinations.
IESCO Chief Executive Officer Engineer Ch. Khalid Mahmood said the company expects to complete shutdowns related to 11kV feeders in the Islamabad Circle and surrounding areas by the end of December. He said shutdowns linked to construction activities will continue according to the approved schedule.
The spokesperson said the Operations and Maintenance Directorate has uploaded the revised shutdown schedule on IESCO’s official website. He added that consumers can obtain the information online and contact the 118 helpline, which remains available around the clock.
