Good News for Teachers Who Performed Matric Exam Duties

More than 15,000 teachers who performed invigilation and paper marking duties in the matriculation examinations have received long-awaited relief.

The Chairman of the Lahore Board has released Rs280 million in funds for the payment of their remuneration.

According to details, around 11,000 teachers performed invigilation duties during the matric exams, while 4,100 teachers were involved in paper marking.

Lahore Board Secretary Rizwan Nazir said that payments to all staff will be completed within two days. He added that cheques for more than 50 per cent of teachers have already been issued.

The move comes after repeated demands from teachers for timely compensation for their examination-related services.
